Now that the first Maple Engine game has been released, I can start working on the problems with it and add more features.
Which brings me to:

[10/23] Maple Engine Update

I apologize for not being able to release the game on Friday. I was unable due to being extremely busy with other things.
HOWEVER, I am glad to say I managed to pull out some time today to completely finish up the game.
Updates:
Fixed Internet detection
Tested online (works)
Fixed bug (key schema that was generated did not give default keys to skills)
I will be able to hopefully upload it to newgrounds and other sites tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Added sounds:
Character jump sound
Potion use sound
Character death sound
Made game pause when dead
Made game pause when entering store
Added high scores
Added view high scores option in menu
Added link to Banned Story website to create a character in the settings page
Added key changing+key verifier
Tweaked starting meso amount
Fixed a couple bugs
Basically, the game is pretty much finished. I just need to go through the whole game and make sure everything is still working. I should be able to release it by next Friday. Keep an eye out ;)

I apologize for the lack of updates; I have been busy with studies and haven’t had much time to work on it. I’ll try working on it more often, however.
Things updated:
Added loading bars to load sound/images and parse character in the beginning.
Uploaded data to external location to reduce SWF file size.
Fixed a couple bugs
Added character attack sounds
Added character skill sounds.
I am pretty close to finishing.
This is my todo list:
Finish coding key changing + Key changing UI
Implement mochi high scores
Do playthrough
Tweak mesos amount/skill damage/boss damage
